Try out these cool optical illusions and see what your brain makes of them. Can we always believe what our eyes tell us? As you will see when you look at the following images, the simple answer to that is no. Our eyes can and do deceive us, especially when presented with ambiguous or misleading information. It would appear that in order to make sense of something our brain sort of fills in the gaps and presents us with a ‘picture’ that may not be a true representation of the reality.
Black and White Dots Illusion
Concentrate hard on this Optical Illusion. Can you find the black dot hidden in this picture?
The illusion is known as the scintillating grid, and was discovered by E. Lingelbach in 1994. The black dots appears to move around and vanish as you move your eyes across the picture, less dots appear if you focus on a singular point. Whoa! I’m dizzy how about you?
Flowers in a Field Optical Illusion
Are the squares in the field really square, or are your eyes tricking you?
Hidden Tiger Illusion
This illusion has been doing the rounds lately & quite frankly it stumped me for a few minutes. Let’s see how you fair. The task is quite simple, can you see the hidden tiger?
7 Faces Illusion
This Optical Illusion contains 7 faces, can you find them all?
Famous Face Illusion
There’s a famous face hidden in this optical illusion , but who is it?
Stare at 3 dots
Stare at the three vertical dots in the centre of this image for about 30 seconds and then look at a white wall or a white bit of paper or you can even just sit back and close your eyes. What do you see? Don’t be freaked out now!
2d?
All we are looking at here is a simple 2D picture but we don’t see it like that.
Moving Dots
Funny one this, if you stare at the dot in the centre you will start to see that one or more of the dots round the outside disappear and reappear again as if popping in and out of existence.
Finally...
I think this sums things up nicely!
